The Wherehouse exists to provide a safe, fun environment for middle school students. Weekends are awesome! But sometimes free time leads to negative options. We want our kids and our community to be safe and whole. The Wherehouse is a Friday night answer. It’s a safe and fun place for students to be students.

The Wherehouse meets Second and Fourth Fridays 7-9pm at Fairmeadow Community Church in Munster. Located at the corner of White Oak Ave and Fran Lin Parkway.

Who’s it for? Middle School Students

Is there a cost? Admission is free to The Wherehouse. Popcorn will be free. Additional pop and snacks will be available for purchase at a reasonable cost.

What are the rules? The main rule is respect. Respect the leaders. Respect others. Respect yourself. The Wherehouse is a safe, positive place to have fun therefore:

-NO SMOKING/VAPING, ALCOHOL/DRUGS, SWEARING

-PLEASE DRESS MODESTLY

-NO PHONES OR DEVICES IN RESTROOMS

-NO INAPPROPRIATE PICTURES TAKEN OR SHARED

-RESPECT REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES

-NO RE-ENTRY. IF YOU LEAVE YOU MUST GO HOME

Who’s in charge? All volunteers at The Wherehouse are pre-screened with national and local background checks. Some have special training for CPR. Some are teachers. Some have worked with challenged students. All have a heart for helping kids stay off the streets and out of trouble. All have received training for responding and referring kids with special needs. Friendly police officers will stop by for a visit.

What happens at The Wherehouse? We want the Wherehouse to be a fun place. Students will give input on the activities they want to experience and we will offer a wide variety of activities:

Video games will be available to play. Foosball, pingpong, basketball machine. Larger group games can also be setup. Basic art classes and other creative opportunities as interested. Bands can perform. Open Mic nights will happen. Anything positive and reasonable will be considered! This is your space so come make your mark!
